CRISPY OVEN BAKED POTATOES

This is a simple yet very filling meal that ought to leave everyone begging for more.Potatoes are my first love and as I have said before shape and form isn't really an issue.These are full of flavour,fluffy and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.They are baked at a moderate to high temperature and coated in oil to achieve the crispy outside and the crunch😋.




The potatoes are coated in oil,smoked paprika,salt,tumeric,cayenne pepper because we are lovers of pepper and last but not least garlic.I cut the potatoes in quarters just to cook faster.You can cut the potatoes into wedges or slices if you like.These crispy oven baked potatoes are served as a side dish mostly.They go really well with roasted chicken,steak and fried sausage bites.One can also have them as are with a dip of ketchup,guac,mustard or even barbeque sauce.


  1. 8 medium size potatoes

  2. 1 Tbs minced garlic

  3. 1 Tbs paprika

  4. 1/2 Tbs tumeric

  5. 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  6. 1 Tbs finely chopped onions

  7. 1/2 Tbs salt

  8. 4 Tbs vegetable oil

  9. Fresh Rosemary

  10. Finely chopped coriander

HOW TO:

  • Preheat the oven to 220c

  • Peel,wash and cut your potatoes into quarters.

  • In a bowl or on your baking sheet place the potatoes.Add your garlic,tumeric,paprika,cayenne pepper,onions,salt,vegetable oil,rosemary,coriander and toss till the potatoes are evenly coated/use a spatula or clean hands to mix in the spices.

  • Bake at 220c for 40-45 minutes.

  • Serve immediately.



NOTE:

-You can use garlic powder in place of fresh garlic.

-Dried herbs such as dried rosemary and oregano can be used.

-The potatoes should be spread in a single layer for even cooking.

-Line the baking sheet with alluminium foil/parchment paper for easier clean up.

-YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH POTATOES SIS! NEVER!
