I'm back again with another litty recipe. This week has not been the easiest and all I needed to make me feel better was a burger.I made this beauty a few weeks ago and Lord, how I wished I could get my hands on this scrumptious burger.
Finding the perfect burger in town is such a sport. The buns are either dry,the veggies not fresh and the patty just not juicy enough. So I sat and thought to myself why not make my burger from scratch with my favorite ingredients.Trust me,this was the most amazing burger I've ever had.
From the homemade buns to the pork sausage patty, this will most definitely steal your heart.
2 Burger buns
2-3 large red onions sliced
1 tomato thinly sliced
2 eggs
4 pork sausages
1 Tbs Soy sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbs mustard
1 Tbs ketchup
2 slices cheese
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbs finely chopped coriander
2 Tbs vegetable oil
HOW TO:
Cut the buns into halves and toast each half.
Cut open the sausage casing and take out the filling.
Season the filling with a bit of cayenne and paprika. With oiled hands, form two burger patties.
Cook on the pan for 5 minutes on each side under low heat then set aside.
On the same pan,add vegetable oil and fry the onions till translucent then add soy sauce, coriander and the remaining cayenne pepper and paprika.
Cook for a further 3 minutes and set aside.
Crack the eggs and cook them separately to your liking.
In a bowl, mix the mustard and ketchup and generously spread on the burger buns.
Assemble the burger and enjoy!
